Premier League: 12-year-old Bosnian wonderkid offered Man United deal

Premier League powerhouse Manchester United have given a talented 12-year-old youngster from Bosnia the chance to kick-start his football career by offering him a three-year contract.

The Red Devils are shaking up their academy and have been looking for fresh talent this summer.

And the super-skilled wonderkid Mujo Omerovic is set to become the latest addition to the club.

Mujo’s family who now live with him in Jacksonville, in Florida, USA, said that if his career takes off he will play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team.

According to local reports in Florida, the young lad also has an eye for goal, having found the back of the net 27 times in just 25 league games.

His favourite player is 26-year-old Juventus star Miralem Pjanic - who also comes from Bosnia - and Mujo told reporters how he dreamed of emulating the playmaker.

Mum Samka Kurdija said: "After the first e-mail from Manchester United, they called and offered him a three-year contract.

"When I asked how they had found out about Mujo, they said that they regularly followed children’s leagues and tournaments. We are still negotiating."

Mujo said that despite living, for now, in the USA, he still follows the Bosnian league and is an avid fan of Zeljeznicar, who are based in the capital Sarajevo.
