Pregnant Man Is Now a Single Dad
We don't blame you if the name Thomas Beatie doesn't ring a bell. He's better known as the man who gave birth (setting off a whole lot of controversy while doing so), he's now in the news again for separating from his wife.
Beatie said in an interview with the CBS show The Doctors that he and his wife Nancy were spending some time apart. "Like all marriages, we have our ups and downs, and we're going through a rough patch right now. At the moment, we're separated," Beatie said in the interview (it'll air on May 9) which People picked up."Nancy hasn't seen the new me yet," added Beatie, acknowledging that his final gender reassignment surgery was completed. In October, ABC reported Beatie and his wife were thinking of stopping having more children--Beatie has had three kids since his Oprah-assisted rise to fame in 2006.
