Prairieville man arrested after months-long child pornography investigation by LSP, FBI

PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Prairieville man was arrested after being accused of having child pornography.

According to the Louisiana State Police, 38-year-old Andrew G. Landry was arrested after a months-long investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (SVU).

The investigation began in December 2023. On April 1, investigators conducted a search warrant of Landry’s home. Police say Landry was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Prison on charges of five counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles.

This investigation is still active and ongoing.

The Special Victim’s Unit works to protect and rescue victims of exploitation and trafficking. LSP asks the public to report any criminal and suspicious activity through the department’s anonymous online reporting system.
