PPD: Madison man charged with trafficking fentanyl after traffic stop

PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Priceville Police Department (PPD) says that a man was charged with trafficking fentanyl after officers pulled a car over on Saturday night.

According to PPD, officers pulled a vehicle over for minor traffic violations near the Priceville/Decatur Exit near I-65 around 11:02 p.m. Upon further investigation, a narcotics field investigation began.

As a result of the traffic stop, 31-year-old Shequill O’Neal Gordon, of Huntsville, and 32-year-old Jonathan Wade Emerson, of Madison were arrested.

PPD says that Emerson was charged with trafficking fentanyl and 2nd-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Gordon had multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

Both Gordon and Emerson were transported to the Morgan County Jail. Gordon was later released after posting bond. Emerson was booked and is being held on a $250,300 bond.
