Powerball ticket worth $2 million sold in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Check your Powerball tickets! Someone in Tampa matched five numbers in Monday night’s drawing.

The winning numbers were 10, 17, 20, 39, 44 and Powerball 16.

According to the Florida Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at the Stop & Save Food Store located at 4801 Clewis Avenue in Tampa.

The ticketholder added the Power Play option to increase their winnings to $2 million instead of $1 million. The Power Play option costs $1 more.

No one won the $656 estimated jackpot. However, tickets worth $1 million were sold in Maryland, Minnesota and Virginia. Two people in Texas also won $1 million.

The jackpot now grows to an estimated $687 million with a cash value of $327.3 million.

The next drawing will be held on Wednesday.

Powerball tickets cost $2. They are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.

The odds of winning the jackpot are slim, at 1 in 292.2 million.
