Powerball ticket worth $100,000 sold in Magnolia, jackpot jumps to $865 million

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One lucky Arkansas Powerball lottery player snagged a whopping $100,000 prize after the Monday night drawing.

The Powerball ticket was sold at Tobacco Superstore in Magnolia for the Monday night drawing. The winning numbers were 7, 11, 19, 53, 68 and the Powerball was 23 and 2 as the multiplier.

Officials with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said the player matched the four white balls and the Powerball number, then increased their $50,000 prize to $100,000 by purchasing the Power Play option for an extra $1 per play.

Since no players won the Powerball jackpot, the grand prize has jumped to $865 million for Wednesday night’s drawing, with a cash value of $416.1 million.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased at all lottery retailers.

ASL officials also announced a pair of recent winners who are taking home a combined $100,000.

A $3 Diamond Bingo ticket bought at a Circle K in Benton won North Little Rock resident Sandra R. $75,000. She said she only plays lottery games “in a few spurts here and there” and still can’t believe her windfall.

“I’m going to wake up, and this is going to be a dream,” Sandra said, adding that she plans to use the prize to start a college fund for her granddaughter and to get a few things for herself.

Kelli W. from Fayetteville won $25,000 in the LOTTO drawing on March 20, using a set of numbers she had been playing since December. The weekly player took home the prize just days before her birthday and plans to pay bills and get a new vehicle.

“This is a big happy birthday,” Kelli said. “The timing could not have been better.”
