Power outages reported across Schuyler, Steuben counties

(WETM) — More than 1,000 NYSEG customers lost power in Schuyler and Steuben counties on Wednesday evening.

According to the NYSEG outage list, 547 customers in Steuben County and 494 customers in Schuyler County were without power at about 6:10 p.m. on May 22. Most of these outages were in the Town of Campbell and the Town of Orange with 467 of the outages being in Campbell and 418 being in Orange.

NYSEG customers in Montour Falls, Hector, Hornby, Dix, Thurston, Urbana, Rathbone, Naples, Addison, and Dansville lost power during the outages as well.

NYSEG has assigned a crew to investigate most of the outages. Power is expected to be restored in Orange, Campbell, Urbana, and Montour Falls at about 6:45 p.m., in Hornby at about 7:15 p.m., and in Hector at about 8:15 p.m.
