Power outages impact thousands across PA

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — As storms impact our area, thousands across the area were without power Tuesday night and many are still without power going into Wednesday.

In Williamsport, PPL had reported that roughly 581 customers were without power due to the storm conditions on Tuesday night. As of Wednesday morning, most customers have seen their power come back.

Agencies preparing for coming storm in Wilkes-Barre

According to PPL, residents throughout Columbia County are still facing numerous outages, with most being anticipated to be repaired by 3 – 4 p.m. on Wednesday or possibly Thursday.

In Wilkes-Barre, PPL reports hundreds of customers still without power, many of whom are in the area around Lehigh Street. Repairs are expected to be made by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
