PENN YAN, N.Y. (WETM) – The Yates County Public Health Department has announced a potential exposure to the hepatitis A virus for those who ate at a certain restaurant in Penn Yan this month.

The health department noted in its post that most people don’t get sick when an employee at a restaurant has hepatitis A, but there is still a risk. Those who may have been exposed are encouraged to receive treatment as a preventative measure.

The post-exposure vaccine clinic will be on Thursday, April 18, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Yates County Office Building located at 417 Liberty Street in Penn Yan.
