One man arrested after armed robbery in Oak Hill

Members of the Oak Hill Police Department responded to an armed robbery in progress on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1653 East Main Street, Oak Hill, West Virginia.

Fayette County man sentenced for felony drug crime

A white man who was around five feet ten inches tall, weighing around 165 pounds, was wearing all black clothes and a camouflage beanie. The suspect told the employee that he wanted all the cash and that he was in possession of a gun. Once the suspect took about $335, he proceeded to run out of the store.

The suspect, Douglas Wilson, is in custody, however the investigation is still in progress. Anyone who may have information can contact the Oak Hill Police Department by phone at 304-465-0596.

All people are believed to be innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

Responding agencies included officers with the Oak Hill Police Department, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Fayetteville Police Department, and the West Virginia State Police.


OAK HILL, WV (WVNS) — One man is in custody after a possible robbery was reported in the Oak Hill area of Fayette County.

According to Fayette County Dispatch, a robbery occurred at the store next to Tractor Supply in Oak Hill.

According to Fayette County Dispatch, one man was arrested and there were no reported injuries.
