Porto falls 3 points behind Benfica after draw at Braga

LISBON, Portugal (AP) — FC Porto stumbled in its chase of Portuguese league leader Benfica after drawing 1-1 at Braga on Saturday.

Benfica, which beat Maritimo 3-0 Friday, leads by three points with five rounds left.

Braga forward Pedro Santos put the hosts ahead in the sixth minute when he headed in Federico Cartabia's cross.

Porto striker Tiquinho Soares headed in Alex Telles' cross to equalize in the 61st.

Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi was substituted and later shown a red card in the final minutes for protesting from the bench.

Benfica beat Maritimo thanks to Jonas' brace and an own-goal by Luis Martins.

Benfica, which is seeking a fourth straight league title, takes on Sporting Lisbon in the next round.

Third-placed Sporting won 3-0 at Setubal on Friday.
