Portland Police Say Fires Lit, Projectiles Thrown at Courthouse

Protests in Portland, Oregon, continued for the 61st night into the early hours of July 28, as hundreds of people marched downtown and gathered near the Mark O Hatfield Courthouse.

Portland Police said in a statement that a “Molotov cocktail, or similar destructive device” was thrown at the courthouse, and that fireworks were fired over the fence. A fire was also started inside the fence at the courthouse, police said, with protesters piling wood and debris onto it.
