Portland auto shop seriously damaged; ‘Combative’ man arrested

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 34-year-old man, already wanted for an earlier crime, now faces new charges for allegedly causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage at a Northeast Portland automotive shop.

The incident in the 14000 block of NE Airport Way began around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. The suspect, identified as Alvie Sanders, was combative and threw a hammer through a broken window at responding officers, officials said.
