TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A portion of Morris Bridge Road in Tampa is closed due to a brush fire, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.

The road is closed between Pictorial Park Drive and Camerton Road.

Homes in Highlands County evacuated due to brush fire

A second alarm was called for more manpower, according to Tampa Fire Rescue. The Division of Forestry was also called.

Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.

No additional details were immediately available.
