Porter stabbing: Son allegedly stabs mother multiple times

PORTER, Texas - A 20-year-old Porter man is accused of stabbing his mother multiple times on Wednesday, officials say.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Jonathan Meza, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Officials said they were called out to the 21000 block of Tanner Trail North in Porter on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies later learned that a 43-year-old female had been stabbed multiple times by her 20-year-old son, who was found inside the home, authorities say.

The suspect was detained at the scene.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. She was listed in critical condition Wednesday. However, she has since undergone surgery and is now listed in stable condition.

Meza was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on a $150,000.
