Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo electric crossover revealed in Geneva

The all-electric Porsche Mission E is coming soon. The concept for the automaker's Tesla fighter debuted three years ago in Frankfurt, and the production version should show its face sometime in the next couple of years. At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Porsche revealed a new variant of their upcoming EV, the Mission E Cross Turismo.

While Porsche is calling this a crossover, it looks much more like a lifted wagon. Think more along the lines of an Audi Allroad rather than an electric Macan or Cayenne. The Mission E Cross Turismo looks like a lifted Panamera Sport Turismo with the Mission E's face and some cladding borrowed from Audi. It's handsome, though obviously still very much a concept. Sales should be strong. In Europe, more than 60 percent of Panamera sales come from electrified variants.

We're all for fast wagons, and this one has the numbers to back up that Porsche badge. The Mission E Cross Turismo will go from 0 to 62 mph in fewer than 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of a very German 155 mph. The total power output is 600 horsepower. Porsche is saying the concept can get a 62-mile charge in just four minutes or about 250 miles in 15 minutes.

Further details remain scarce, but expect to hear more about the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo as the car moves closer to production.
