Lyle Lovett makes a return appearance at the Gallo Center in Modesto, where dance and comedy also can be enjoyed. The Camellia Society’s annual show will be back, along with more to entertain you from March 16-22.

Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group return for a fourth appearance at the Gallo Center. The singer, composer and actor couples his storytelling with Texas-based music that fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues.

Camellia show
The Camellia Society of Modesto Show returns to the E.&J. Gallo Winery administration building. The annual event will show off award-winning flowers. In addition, the private Gallo Camellia Gardens will be open to the public. Plants also will be for sale. Lunch available for purchase on Saturday

ABT ballet
ABT Studio Company, the junior company of American Ballet Theatre, is made up of 12 to 18 dancers ages 16 to 20. ABT Studio Company prepares the young dancers to enter American Ballet Theatre or other leading ballet companies. The performance comes to the Gallo Center.

Ladies of Laughter
The “Ladies of Laughter Funny & Fabulous Tour” includes winners and the best talent from its national competition. Past participants have included Amy Schumer, Tammy Pescatelli and Melissa Rauch. Film competition winners
The 48 Hour Film Competition Premiere at the State Theatre presents the top short films made by members of the community who participated. Filmmakers and more will gather for the red carpet event. The competition took place March 8-10.

“Little Red Robin Hood”
LightBox Theatre Company presents “Little Red Robin Hood” at the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock. “Humor, songs, and pandemonium fill the city of Sherwood Forrest as one little girl becomes a legendary bandit and changes history,” according the center’s website. The show for children is 70 minutes long without an intermission.
