The 50-miler is not the only option for runners though as organizers have also put together a 25-mile and 10-mile race that follows the same route as the full trail, just with different starting points.

Can you walk this network of trails from Sacramento to Auburn along the American River?

The 25-mile race starts at Beal’s Point at 7 a.m. and the 10 mile race starts at Rattlesnake Bar at 9 a.m., with both races ending in Auburn.

Fifty-mile runners that make it Auburn will awarded with a hoody and all finishers will receive an American River medallion.
