Popular budget airline adds new direct flights from Sacramento Airport for as low as $19

In need of a getaway?

Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines added two new direct flights from Sacramento International Airport, according to a news release.

Soon, travelers can fly nonstop from California’s capital city to Ontario (Southern California, not Canada) and Dallas for as low as $19.

The new routes join existing direct services to Denver and Las Vegas.

“We’re delighted to add yet another destination to our route map from Sacramento,” Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design for Frontier Airlines, said in a release.

“We know consumers appreciate convenient, low-cost flight options and are thrilled to add more choices for those in the greater Sacramento area,” he added.

Frontier will provide nonstop flights from Sacramento to Dallas four times a week, starting June 13.

Daily direct flights from Sacramento to Ontario begin July 11.

Flight frequency and times could change, the release stated.

The fine print

For a limited time, Frontier is offering tickets to Ontario for as low as $19 and tickets to Dallas for as low as $59.

Travelers must purchase their airfare by 8:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, to secure tickets at the promotional price, the release stated.

The offer is limited to select days, June 5 through Aug. 31.

These are the blackout dates:

  • July 1

  • July 4 to July 8

  • July 11 to July 15

  • July 18 to July 22

  • July 25 to July 29

Round-trip purchases are not required, Frontier said.

Also, most reservations are nonrefundable.

Refunds will be granted for reservations made seven days (168 hours) or more before takeoff. This rule only applies to requests made within 24 hours of the initial booking.

Travelers could be charged an extra fee for making changes or cancellations to their itineraries 24 hours after booking.

Previously purchased tickets cannot be exchanged for special fare tickets.

Additional services — including baggage and advanced seating — are available as separate purchases.
