Poll: DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s approval rating drops sharply

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Washington Post said Monday that a poll showed that Mayor Muriel Bowser’s approval rating dropped signifcantly since a similar poll in 2022.

The Washington Post-Schar School poll found that 46% of the people who responded approved of Bowser’s overall job performance, compared to 58% when The Washington Post conducted a survey two years ago. In 2019 and 2017, the figure was 67%.

The 46% approval rating represents the first time in Bowser’s nine years as mayor that her ratiing dropped below a majority.

Results of The Washington Post-Schar School poll showed that the approval rating fell across most of D.C. demogrphic groups.
