Police: Woodbridge student charged for sending bomb threat email to school staff member

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (DC News Now) — The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said a 15-year-old student was arrested and charged for sending a threatening email to a school staff member.

The incident happened on March 5, around 11:10 a.m. at Hylton High School, located at 14051 Spriggs Road.

The school’s resource officer was notified of the threatening email through the BARK Alert system.

While the officer investigated the incident, they found out who sent the email and determined that the threat was not valid.

The 15-year-old boy was then arrested and charged with threats to bomb.

He is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
