Police warn public about robbery on Mundy Pond trail in St. John's

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says a man robbed someone walking on the trail around Mundy Pond in St. John's on Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near the end of the pond close to Ropewalk Lane. A spokesperson for the RNC says the suspect fled toward Blackler Avenue.

He's described as approximately six feet tall, heavy-set and wearing all dark clothing. His face was at least partially covered.

Police are looking for any information related to the incident, including any video footage from the area between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
