Police seek info after Amarillo Social Club robbed at gunpoint Sunday

The Amarillo Police Department is seeking information from the public after a small business was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night.

According to police, at 11:53 p.m. Sunday, May 7, Amarillo officers were sent to the Amarillo Social Club, 1619 S. Kentucky, on a reported robbery. Police said the employees delayed calling the police for about 45 minutes; the robbery actually occurred at about 11:10 p.m.

An employee told officers a vehicle backed up to the business, and a man got out of the car and came inside. He handed the employee a note demanding money and pointed a gun at the employee.

The employee gave him the money, and the man got back into the vehicle and left the scene.

Amarillo PD Violent Crimes are assigned to this investigation.
