Police searching for suspect after shooting on I-8 in East County
LA MESA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was shot while driving on a freeway in East County Sunday afternoon and police are actively searching for the person who shot him.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the shooting that happened on Interstate 8 westbound near Grossmont Blvd. in La Mesa at 3:35 p.m. Sunday.
Victim killed in El Cajon shooting identified as dentist
CHP reports at least two shots were fired, one striking a man driving a red Chrysler PT Cruiser.
The victim, described by police as an El Cajon man of an unspecified age, was taken to the hospital. Police are actively searching for the suspect, who is described as an adult man driving a black Ford Fusion.
