Police searching for suspect in early-morning burglary of JCPenney store on Southwest Side

Chicago police are searching for a suspect who broke into a JCPenney on the city's Southwest Side early Monday morning and stole several items from the department store. According to police, the burglary happened at Ford City Mall, in the West Lawn neighborhood, around 4:30 a.m. Police say they're looking for one person who broke through the glass doors at the JCPenney store, went inside, took off with merchandise and fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
