Police searching for ‘missing, endangered’ man last seen in Pulaski

PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — Police in Pulaski are asking for the community’s help locating a missing and endangered man, who was last seen on May 6.

The Pulaski Police Department (PPD) says it is searching for 33-year-old Paul Michael Hanks. During their investigation, officers learned that Hanks was captured on video footage near the Food Lion on 1200 East Main Street around 7:45 a.m.

Police said Hanks appeared to be walking toward the Hiwassee/ Allisonia area on the New River Trail.

Officers said Hanks was possibly seen on the trail around 9 a.m. and he used to live in the area.

He is described as around 5’11” and weighs around 180 lbs. He has brown hair and green eyes. The PPD says he was last seen wearing a black hoodie or jacket with blue jeans and a small backpack.
