Police: Alert issued for missing 68-year-old endangered adult

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police have issued a critically missing adult alert on behalf of the Portsmouth Police Department as investigators search for 68-year-old Wendell Ross Richardson, last seen March 23 on the 1500 block of Crystal Lake Drive, police said.

He is described as 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds and has brown eyes and is bald.

Richardson is considered endangered and has medical conditions that are controlled through medication.

He may possibly be wearing a purple sweatsuit and is presumed to be on foot.

Portsmouth Police said his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.
