Police search for missing 87-year-old with dementia

Police and the SES are searching for a missing 87 year-old man believed to have dementia.

Authorities are looking for 87-year-old Perth man Alexander Henderson, who was last seen at his Hillarys home on Thursday at 4.30pm.

The search is being conducted around Whitfords Shopping Centre and parks in the northern suburbs, which Mr Henderson regularly visits.

It is not known what he was wearing but he is often seen in a blue polo shirt, dress shorts and a brown jumper.

He also has a necklace with his next of kin information on it.

Mr Henderson is described as being fair-skinned with white hair and he is approximately 165cm tall.

Police are concerned for his welfare and encourage anyone with information to call them on 131 444.
