Police Search for Man Caught on Camera Beating 67-Year-Old in Bronx Elevator

Police in the Bronx, New York, are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who attacked a 67-year-old man in an elevator on Friday, November 1.

CCTV footage released by the NYPD shows the victim stepping into an elevator immediately after another man in a building on Southern Boulevard and East 187 Street shortly after 11:00 pm. Once the door closes, the suspect starts punching the 67-year-old victim until he falls to the floor of the elevator.

Speaking to ABC 7, the victim said he lives in the building with his elderly mother and was returning from a cigarette run when he was attacked.

“Somebody knocked me down, I couldn’t get up from the floor. He wouldn’t let me get up from the floor. He kept kicking me and kicking me in my face,” he said.
