Police confirm fatal shooting in Ville Platte
VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) — A man was shot and killed this morning in Ville Platte, authorities said.
Ville Platte Police Chief Al Perry Thomas has confirmed to KLFY that the victim was Andrew Thomas, 28, of Ville Platte, who was previously shot at the intersection of Young Street and Martin Luther King Street Jan. 31.
The victim’s body was found today in the area of North Chataignier Street and East Jackson Street in Ville Platte. It is the first homicide of the year in Ville Platte.
No other details were released, and the investigation is ongoing.
