Police officer hospitalized following car crash involving ‘speeding’ teen in New Britain
A police cruiser was struck during a multi-vehicle crash in New Britain on Wednesday, sending one officer to the hospital.
The crash occurred on East Street where police allege that a 17-year-old girl was speeding when she spun out while making a turn, according to New Britain city officials.
The girl’s car struck multiple vehicles, including a New Britain Police Department cruiser, officials said.
One officer was taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut with minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
