Police: Man seriously injured by wife in Monroe shooting

A woman was arrested after she allegedly shot her husband Wednesday afternoon, according to the Monroe Police Department.

Officials said police responded to the 3000 block of Apple Knoll Lane around 2:32 p.m. after dispatchers received a call from a man stating he was shot by his wife.

Officers arrived to find Douglas Imfeld, 64, suffering from a serious gunshot wound, according to a news release. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Nancy Imfeld, also 64, was taken into custody, police said, adding they're not searching for other suspects.
