Police: Man kept child porn on his cellphone, cloud account

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge has signed an arrest warrant for a man accused of keeping child pornography on his cellphone and cloud account.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, a detective received evidence from Synchronoss Technologies on July 25, 2023, pointing to the presence of child pornography on a man’s Verizon cloud storage account.

The detective reviewed the evidence and determined the account contained child pornography.

Police claim the cloud account belonged to Robert S. Minor, 41.

Police questioned Minor, who admitted possessing the illicit material on his phone and cloud account.

On Aug. 28, 2023, investigators obtained a search warrant for Minor’s phone, which contained 67 video files and five image files of child pornography.

That same day, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Minor with possession of child pornography – first offense and two counts of possession of child pornography – second/subsequent offense.

The arrest warrant was signed on March 8, 2024. Upon his arrest, Minor will be jailed without bond.
