Police: Man charged with raping a minor in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County Department of Police said it arrested and charged a man who sexually assaulted a minor in Rockville.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree rape of a minor.

Police said that on April 10 at about 4:30 p.m., the suspect persuaded the minor to go into a wooded area in the 13000 block of Veirs Mill Road and then sexually assaulted them.

Officers identified and arrested 46-year-old Charles Erby Jr. on April 12 in D.C. where he is currently being held while waiting to be extradited to Montgomery County.
