Police: Man arrested after stabbing at Kentwood business

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a 57-year-old man was arrested for stabbing a 20-year-old man at a business in Kentwood.

The Kentwood Police Department said it happened around 7:30 p.m. at a business on Shaffer Avenue between 29th and 32nd streets.

When officers arrived, the police department said they found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound that was not considered life-threatening. The suspect, a 57-year-old man, was found walking nearby and taken into custody.

The police department said the victim and suspect are related.

The stabbing remains under investigation.
