Police looking for car possibly connected to Southwest DC shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said its looking for a car that is connected to a shooting that happened in Southeast D.C. on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that on April 17 at about 1:55 p.m., they were in the area when they suddenly heard the sound of gunshots.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Canal Street and found a man who had been shot.

He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
