Police: Lenny Dykstra told Uber driver 'Take me to Staten Island or I'll blow your (expletive) head off'

Lenny Dykstra apparently really needed to get to Staten Island on the night of his latest arrest.

Police arrested the former MLB All-Star on May 23 and charged him with making terroristic threats and various drug offenses after he allegedly threatened to kill his Uber driver.

On Tuesday, My Central Jersey obtained the police report from the arrest, and it paints a troubling picture.

Per the report, Dykstra got into an Uber early in the morning in Linden, New Jersey and wanted to go to Staten Island, despite having requested a ride elsewhere.

Police: Dykstra threatened to kill driver when he told him how Uber works

When the driver explained to Dykstra that he would have to change his request through the Uber app, Dykstra allegedly got hostile.

“Dykstra then placed a black pill bag with an object [the driver] believed to be a gun to his head and said ‘take me to Staten Island or I’ll blow your (expletive) head off,” according to the police report.

The driver, fearing for his life, drove Dykstra instead to the Linden Police station. Upon arrival around 3:30 a.m., the driver ran from the vehicle screaming for help and that Dykstra had a gun, according to the report.

When police responded, Dykstra reportedly told an officer that the driver had tried to kidnap him and allowed him to search his body and his bags. Dykstra recanted consent of the search on the bag, but police determined they had probable cause to continue.

Police: No gun, but drugs recovered from Dykstra

Police did not find a gun, but did find a substance believed to be marijuana, a glass pipe, a straw with suspected cocaine residue, a vial of suspected cocaine and two pills suspected to be MDMA, according to the report.

Police charged Dykstra with third-degree making terroristic threats, third-degree charges for possession of cocaine and MDMA and disorderly persons charges for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is scheduled for July.

Dykstra took to Twitter after his release and quoted Taylor Swift and Bobby Brown while admiring his mugshot.
