Three wounded in South Beach shooting. Police think one gunman was a New York man

About 18 hours after a South Beach shooting left one man in critical condition and another in stable condition, Miami Beach police released the photo of Keshawn McLean from New York.

Miami Beach police’s Twitter account said they were looking for McLean, 24, “for an attempted murder Sunday night” near Eighth Street and Washington Avenue. “Anyone coming into contact with McLean is urged to dial 911 as he is considered armed and dangerous.”

The two wounded men went to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The third person hit in the shooting, which occurred around 8:40 p.m., was grazed and taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center in stable condition.

Police said they were looking for a dark SUV, “possibly a Jaguar with tinted windows.” The SUV left the scene with three men inside.

“Detectives located at least two types of casings at the scene,” Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said. “This indicates there may have been an exchange of gunfire. “

The victims hadn’t been identified as of Monday afternoon.
