Police investigating fatal shooting in NW Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City Police are investigating a fatal shooting from Sunday, April 7.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to a parking lot near N. Portland Ave. and NW 28th St. around 3 a.m. on Sunday regarding gunshots. Upon arrival, officers learned that four people had been shot.

Officials say all four were transported to nearby hospitals where one passed away. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Carlin Hawthorne. The other three received non-life-threatening injuries.
According to OKCPD, officers discovered there was a fight in the parking lot that led to the gunfire. They believe Hawthorne was just an innocent bystander sitting in a nearby vehicle when she was struck by a bullet.
