Girl injured after early morning Harrisburg shooting

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The Harrisburg Bureau of Police is investigating a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, Feb. 3.

According to police, officers responded to the 400 block of Crescent Street for a report of shots fired around midnight. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a single gunshot victim, who was identified as a 10-year-old girl.

Officers then said that the victim was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment and was last listed in stable condition.

On Monday, police confirmed the girl was shot in the leg while inside her home by outside gunfire. Several homes were struck by the early morning gunfire.

Police say two teenage males were taken in for questioning but both were later released.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
