Police in Hopewell look for suspect in armed robbery of city convenience store late Friday

HOPEWELL — City police have released surveillance photos of the person they say robbed a convenience store on Oaklawn Boulevard late Friday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Corner Store Mart 2, police said in an email. The lone gunman demanded money from the clerk and fled the scene on foot.

No one was injured, police said.

In the video from the store, the suspect appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s and of medium height and build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, black pants and tan shoes.
