Police consult district attorney about shooting in Caldwell County
May 3—CALDWELL COUNTY — Police said Friday afternoon that they are consulting with the district attorney's office about a shooting that occurred Thursday evening, due to potential self-defense.
Around 9:24 p.m. Thursday, May 2, deputies responded to a call about a shooting around 3423 Zacks Fork Road. Law enforcement arrived on scene at 9:41 p.m. and EMS arrived at 9:44 p.m.
Once at the scene, deputies found one person dead at the home, police confirmed.
The shooter has been identified and is cooperating with police.
At the time of this story, police said they are not releasing the names of those involved.
