Police, Civilians Among Those Killed in Kabul Suicide Blast

At least 18 people, including eight policemen and 10 civilians, were killed after a suspected suicide bomber detonated his explosives in Kabul, Afghanistan, on November 16, TOLO News reported.

The blast was outside a restaurant near Lab-e-Jar Square in Kabul’s PD4 district, shortly after 1.30 pm local time, according to the TOLO report.

Local reports said the blast occurred during a political gathering in support of Balkh governor Ata Mohammad Noor, which included members of parliament and members of the Jamiat-e-Islami party.
