Police beat: Arrests, jail bookings

SEXUAL ASSAULT

• 7:16 p.m. Sunday, a 22-year-old woman told police she was raped by two men she met that day at a downtown bar. She left the bar with them, and they took her to a downtown apartment building about 6 p.m. There, she said, the men took turns holding her down and assaulting her. A friend brought the woman to the police station, and she went to the hospital for a sexual assault examination. The case has been assigned to detectives.

• 3:23 p.m. Sunday, a 21-year-old woman reported she had been sexually assaulted by a male acquaintance on Saturday at his eastside residence. The woman wanted to report the incident to police, but did not immediately want to pursue charges.

ASSAULT WITH A KNIFE

• 11:57 a.m. Sunday, hospital officials contacted police while treating a man with a stab wound on his back. The man said he got hurt during an accident at a friend’s apartment early Saturday morning. A friend who had been carrying a knife slipped and fell into him, causing the injury, he told police.

• Lauren H. Touchette, 21, 1423 N. Jordan Ave., arrested Monday by Monroe County sheriff’s deputies on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated with endangerment; booked into the Monroe County Jail at 2:20 a.m. Bond set at $1,000 surety, $500 cash.

• Mario Silva-Guijosa, 47, of Frankfort, arrested Sunday by Monroe County sheriff’s deputies on a preliminary charge of driving with a lifetime suspension; booked into the Monroe County Jail at 10:05 a.m. Bond set at $5,000 surety, $500 cash.

• Devren J. Miller, 21, 334 E. Ind. 45/46 Bypass, arrested Friday by Monroe County corrections officers on a warrant charging maintaining a common nuisance and dealing in marijuana; booked into the Monroe County Jail at 6:20 p.m. Bond set at $2,000 surety, $500 cash.
