Police attempt to arrest wanted fugitive in Lakewood

DENVER (KDVR) — On Thursday just after noon, the Lakewood Police Department was attempting to arrest a wanted fugitive on South Union Boulevard.

Lakewood police shoot and kill suspect after armed carjacking

The incident occurred just north of West Cedar Drive on South Union Street.

The suspect was wanted by Jefferson County on a weapons-related charge.

Lakewood police say there is no further threat to the public.
