Police: 2 dead after central Las Vegas valley shooting

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Two men are dead following a shooting in the central Las Vegas area, according to police.

It happened on Sunday at 12:03 a.m. in the 700 block of West Owens Avenue near H Street.

When officers arrived they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. A medical team arrived later and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Shortly after, Las Vegas Metro police dispatch received a report from an area hospital of an individual arriving there who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. When officers arrived they determined that the man was related to the shooting in the 700 block of West Owens Avenue. The man was later pronounced deceased, police said.

According to police, the investigation indicated that before the shooting several individuals were gathered in the parking lot of a business. A verbal altercation between the individuals
occurred that quickly escalated into a shooting.
