Polar Bear Dip raises $5,000 to kick start 2024 Ashland Relay for Life fundraising

It's estimated about 200 people attended the New Year's Day Polar Bear Dip at Charles Mill Lake, and while there is still some totals and pledges coming in, Ashland County Relay for Life has so far collected more than $5,000 through the fundraiser.

Sarah Beam, senior development manager of the American Cancer Society, said the fundraiser and a few other events are helping to lead up to the June 8 Relay for Life that will take place at the Ashland County Fairgrounds, 4 p.m.-10 p.m.
