Poland scrambled its fighter jets in response to Russia's massive strike on Ukraine, Polish Armed Forces reported on X on March 22.

Intense activity of Russia's long-range aviation, including Tu-95, Tu-22, and MiG-31 aircraft was noted, targeting locations across Ukraine.

Poland activated all necessary procedures to ensure the security of their airspace.

Russian forces attacked Ukraine using 151 means of aerial attack on the morning of March 22, reported Mykola Oleshchuk, Ukrainian Air Force Commander.

Ukraine’s air defense forces intercepted 92 – 55 Shahed-136/131 drones and 37 missiles.
