Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- A little bit warmer this afternoon for the start of our week, but absolutely beautiful following this weekend’s storms. The few fair weather clouds remaining will clear by Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will drop back into the mid 40s tonight, but will start to warm again tomorrow afternoon. Some areas will likely see upper 70s. High pressure continues to settle over the southeast, brining even warmer temperatures for Wednesday.

A weak disturbance (or short wave) will move through Alabama and Georgia early Thursday. This will bring a chance for a few stray showers before conditions dry back out for the end of the week.

Clouds will linger behind Thursday’s system with mostly cloudy skies through the start of next week. Readings will also continue to warm up, with highs reaching into the mid to upper 80s by Sunday.

A cold front moving through Monday evening/Tuesday morning will bring another round of showers and brief relief from the heat.
