Please don't name April the giraffe's baby Harambe

Congratulations, it's a boy! And his giraffe name is ... well, you're gonna have to wait for that.

Yes, the people at Animal Adventure Park are milking every last drop out of this giraffe birth by holding a naming contest.

For $1 a suggestion, you can recommend a name for April's baby boy, which was finally born this weekend. After a week and a half, the park will reveal the top-10 names, then the public will have five days to vote on those.

Obviously, the internet is taking this voting contest very serious... uh oh.

Not cool guys. Any other bright ideas?

Well, you had to see that coming. I'm starting to think people aren't taking this seriously.

I'm kind of into this suggestion. April the Giraffe's Baby Presented to you by Verizon. Here's my ballot, which I will for sure be expensing to Mashable

You have to recommend at least five names, which comes out to $5. According to the park, all the profits will go to giraffe conservation efforts; "Ava's Little Heroes," an "event named after the daughter of the park owners, who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy;" and Animal Adventure Park to "continue to improve the animal and guest experiences at the park with further improvements and projects."

(Mashable reached out to Animal Adventure Park for more information about the contest and will update the story when it responds.)

Whatever they name the giraffe, one thing is for sure: it's pretty damn adorable.
